Are You Feeling Lucky?

October 8th, 2009

Do you know people that just seem to be born lucky?  You know the sort I mean.  They always seem happy and positive and quite effortlessly good things just seem to happen to them.  No matter what curve balls get thrown at them, they always keep their smile on, nothing seems to phase them and somehow things always seem to turn out well for them.  Well you can be one of these people too.  These people actually create their luck and here is a “how-to guide” on how you too can be lucky:

* Lucky people ooze charm.  They have great manners and always remember their pleases and thank you’s with style and sincerity.  They are genuinely grateful for all good things that come their way, no matter how small.  Lucky people treat everyone with respect and don’t take anyone or anything for granted.

* Lucky people work hard.  It often seems like lucky people get handed things on a plate, but this isn’t usually the case.  Usually they know what they want and they go after it, being prepared to do whatever it takes to get where they want to go.

* Lucky people aren’t scared to take risks.  They thrive on challenges and embrace change.  They never mope around feeling sorry for themselves and play the victim.  No matter how scary a situation may be, they expect a positive outcome and don’t give up until they have it.

* Lucky people are great “people” people. They make the effort with people.  They show genuine interest in others and go out of their way to make other people feel good.

* Lucky people are generous in every sense of the word.  They give freely of their time, their energy, their money and their goodwill.  They are naturally optimistic and seem to have an inherent sense that all will be well.  (And because of this it usually is!)

Being lucky is first a choice, an attitude.  You can wake up in the morning and expect the worst, or you can start the day feeling lucky, and expecting something wonderful to happen.  It’s highly likely that you will get whatever you expect, so isn’t it worth increasing your odds, and deciding to feel lucky?
